Join us for the opening of a new exhibit featuring Paintings of Anna Darrow (Fort Lauderdale\'s first female physician, fondly known as \"The Swamp Doctor\"). Then take part in our family fun day honoring Florida Archaeology Month with hands on demonstrations and interactive learning stations. We celebrate our colorful history with a salute to the role of women in history and the study of science. Free with museum admission.

March is Florida Archaeology Month! Let’s celebrate this fascinating science by learning what archaeology is, and importantly what it is not! This educational and entertaining workshop will focus on the misuse and misunderstandings around Florida’s past and how archaeologists study Florida’s historic residents through the artifacts they left behind.
