This paddle is designed for all skill levels, and rental boats are available! Pre-registration is required.
St. Martins Marsh Aquatic Preserve, Florida Park Service, and Florida Public Archaeology Network representatives are excited to host a guided kayak tour exploring the waters of the Crystal River. On our venture, we will explore scenic waters and hidden gems while discussing this area’s culture and natural communities.
Rental vessels are 10-foot, sit-on-top, single-occupancy kayaks. Life vests, paddles, and whistles will be provided. Participants are welcome and encouraged to bring their own whistle; however, all provided equipment will be sanitized before use. Participants must wear their life vests during the tour and must be able to maneuver their vessel independently for approximately 5 miles for this tour. We will not be in open water but on the Crystal River, where motorboat presence is expected.
Sunscreen, bug spray, water, and lunch/snacks are strongly encouraged, but these items will not be supplied.
