Project Archaeology: Investigating Shelter is a supplementary science and social studies curriculum unit for grades 3 through 5. This workshop aims to familiarize educators with archaeology resources for the classroom that enhance learning opportunities in math, science, art, and social studies. Workshop participants will receive archaeology education guides published by Project Archaeology that take students through scientific processes and an archaeological investigation of Kingsley Plantation or the St. Augustine Light Station, including accounts from oral history, use of primary documents, and interpreting the archaeological record.
