“UWF Archaeological Field School 2024 and 2025″
Presented by Dr. John Worth, Dr. John Bratten, and Dr. Ramie Gougeon
Faculty from UWF, Department of Anthropology will present some results of recent fieldwork, including new excavations of EPIII, the third shipwreck of Tristian de Luna’s 1559 settlement of Pensacola. Conservation of materials from EPIII has resulted in exciting new discoveries. The three archaeologists will also discuss plans for archaeological fieldwork in 2025.
PAS Lecture Series membership meetings will be held from 7-8 pm in the Activities Building (Choir Room) at TRINITY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH at 3400 Bayou Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32503 www.trinitypcola.org. Entry to the Choir Room for PAS meetings will be through the back door under the covered entrance. The meeting begins at 7 PM. This door will be unlocked ONLY from 6:30 to 7:30 PM for security reasons. No pre-registration is required for the lectures.
